Sizing & Guidelines
What size should I order?
Consult the Size Guide and follow the instructions on how to measure yourself to find your size. If you’re a true size 38, order a 38. If you’re between measured sizes, always order up. It’s as simple as that.
In between sizes? Order the size of your largest measurement (i.e. if you’re a size 36 in the bust, but size 38 in the waist, order the size 38).
You may end up needing alterations (many brides do, especially as the wedding draws near), but we want your dress to start as close to size as possible.
What is good to have for trying out the dress?
You don’t *need* to have anything, but some brides like to have shoes, shape-wear, and any hair accessories that they plan to wear for the wedding.
What about makeup?
We ask that you avoid wearing makeup while trying on the dress, particularly makeup that can rub off, like foundation, lipstick/lipgloss or eyeshadow. The dress you will be trying on has to remain in perfect condition in case it needs to be returned.
Alterations & Care
Can I customise my dress?
Our designer meticulously curates our collection in order to offer a tight, yet diverse assortment of the very best in bridal – so we very consciously do not offer customisations. We prefer to leave anything else to your expert alterations seamstresses.
Alterations
Every body is different and your dress may need some tweaking in alterations to fit you like a glove. We recommend getting in touch with an experienced seamstress in your area to check availability and ensure that your perfect dress also fits you perfectly. If you are in the Copenhagen area we can recommend Strauss skrædderi, they have a lot of experience with bridal alterations and you can book a time directly on their website.
Fabrics & Imperfections
All of our dresses are made from a sustainable viscose fabric. This delicate fabric can easily pull and while every care is taken by our talented seamstresses to prevent this, sometimes very minor pulls may occur in the fabric and this will not be considered a fault.
How to care for your ARTEMIS dress
To make sure that the dress is perfect for your big day you should use a hand-held steamer on low heat to even out wrinkles. Hang the dress on a padded hanger so it does not leave any marks on the shoulders. We recommend that you use an eco-friendly dry cleaner before hanging it in a garment bag after use, for safekeeping.
